Promised Gift Card. Never Delivered.
I was promised a $300 gift card for signing up for AT&T Internet and Direct TV. I was already an AT&T phone customer. I’ve called 4 times and was provided the run around; I didn’t sign up during the promotion period, you need to call rewards dept, we will escalate it to back office, you will receive it as a $10 credit each month for 30 months, etc. But nothing has ever been done and still no gift card. I’ve had the TV/Internet service since September and was promised it after a month of service. I finally just canceled everything. Had to pay a high fee but I don’t do business with dishonest companies.

I am having the same problem. They advertise a $300 gift card but only would send me $100. Every time I call they forward my call to an authomated system or they say call the rewards center. But the rewards center had me on hold for an hour and a half with no answer. AT&T will lie just to get you to sign up.

I am having same problem. I was promised $250 gift card for each phone if I bundle my internet, TV & Wireless. So I bought two phones ($250 x2 = $500). Agent signing me up confirmed everything and then his manager came and summarize the deal and confirmed everything one more time and told me she has recorded all the stuff and also noted. Manager mentioned I will receive gift card in mail withing 30 days. I waited for 6 weeks and call to inquire but agent on the phone said it's on its way should be getting shortly. After two weeks I called again, the agent said there is no record of any gift card in here said it was an error mistake done by signing agent. So I politely said if the mistake was on your part either fix it or take the phones back. They said we can't take the phone back because phone should be returned withing 14 days. So I was like what you want me to do if it was AT&T mistake. Agent did CONFIRMED me on the phone that notes mentions that I was suppose to get 2 x $ 250 gift card. After going back and forth they transfered me to loyalty department and Agent name Alphanso said it was AT&T mistake we will issue gift card and you should me getting in mail in 3 - 4 weeks. After 3-4 weeks I called again to check the status again the story is same system error agent noted but system din't process it. I was like so what am I suppose to do told me to call back again. After many attempts agents RUDE, Hanging up the phone, Transferring to Different dept, knowingly disconnect the phone...I kept trying because AT&T knowing it's their mistake dosen't want to do anything about it. I am ready to return the phones back and call it square but they don't want to do that too. Ridiculous ...AT&T is the worst company to deal with...Customer Service HORRIBLE, AGENT might be taught how to Disconnect the phone if they don't have any answers.I am So Done with the company that planning to cancel all the service and go thru each and every forum to portray the real image of the AT&T. PLEASE DON'T do business with dishonest company.

We were offered the same deal, a $300 gift card to switch to AT&T. We have made numerous calls and spent hours on the phone with them. We were told it was on its way a month ago by a customer service rep. We waited and it never came. We called back and talk to a couple reps and a manager over a 2 day period only to be told we were supposed to call within 30 days if we didn’t receive an email so they would not honor the deal they made with us. Of course that was never explained when we signed up or during the numerous calls we made to them over the month! It’s basically a scam and they never intended on paying it unless you initiated it within 30 days. This is terrible business practice and I’m filing a complaint.

Same as above-offered $300 gift card- called in every month to get the standard response. Finally was told I was past the 120 mark. I got the supervisor and then the supervisor's boss. They finally gave me $200 gift card (I have to wait 7-10 days to get it), but only after I told them I had a recorded ring video showing there rep offering me the gift and stating that I qualified. A multi-billon dollar company sticking it to the little man.
