Really need Uverse!

The street I live on only has 3Mb DSL. The same technology we've been on for over a decade now. Literally one mile from house is a dead end street that comes off MY STREET that has Uverse. How does a dead end street that comes off my street have Uverse, but every time I reach out to AT&T I get told my street doesn't have it? We can't continue to live on this 1990's technology. I spoke to Comcast. They end 2 miles from my house with no plans to expand so our street is free for AT&T to take. And believe me, they'd get a BUNCH of upgraded subscriptions if they brought Uverse to our road.
