Rethink Possible is EXACTLY what we are doing!!

Uverse "service" is Cat Mad.  We had the service installed Halloween 2013 and it had been filled with ghosts ever since.  We have had a new DVR, new modem, new gateway, new wiring on the outside, techs inside for hours - plugged in restarted, unplugged restarted, got two new remotes, they separated the modem and gateway to be two feet apart (really... that was the problem?  Who was he kidding.)

 

All this and it STILL does not work.  Two days ago ALL services went down AGAIN. I rebooted the gateway and called the tech... he told me to call back when not working.  How may I ask, do you do that if your telephone service is down?  It really sad that you must use another mode (cell) to get help.  Now the DVR is out again. Unplugged restarted, unplugged, restarted, tried online troubleshooting, tried Help on TV troubleshooting.  NO can't reach the DVR... duh.

 

Called billing last week to get refund for month of October - After getting disconnected once, called back, told girl problems and want refund - she said she would credit account $50 - I said want to talk to Supervisor but Supervisor would not come to the phone -- after I repeatedly requested the Supervisor. I had to call 2nd tier tech support again got a $100 credit ... still not enough for all the time, trouble and still no service.

 

So as my Subject line says... we are rethinking what might be possible cause ATT sure is IMPOSSIBLE.

@rsally Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.

Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap.

Include your account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on. Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

Sorry to hear you're going through all this. What drama and stress!

I've been with ATT for a long time now and even though I had a few problems they always took care of it and the service is worth it by far (especially over comcast/xfinity).

Keep up the faith and give them one more shot. I would advise you take the advice of Chris and contact ATT customer care.
