Reward card scam

Judging from the posts, I am not the only one taken in.  There was supposed to be a $200 reward card for originally signing up.  It never arrived.  A phone call informed me that it took a couple of months to process....piffle.  A second call resulted in an apology for no card and by way of recompense, high (?) speed internet was offered as a sop.  Again no card!.  Called again and received another apology, a promise to correct the situation and...would I like to try the U300 service?  This was January....waited on the 300 channels, they never arrived...the card never arrived...if fact, nothing arrived.

Called again yesterday, went through a supervisor for whom English was not a native tongue.  Finally received the 300 channels only to find out I had been paying for them since January.  But, bright spot, the upgrade came with another reward card....which was never received.

Finally was referred, for the first time to the reward center and was informed...SORRY, time has elapsed, we sent you a letter.

How many others have been scammed by this crap?  It will make a great episode for Judge Judy.

!!They scammed me in July 2015 to switchback from uverse to direct TV offering me a $250 visa card in the process.i contacted them 2 months later about the visa and they said I would receive it in 7 to 10 days and I never received and forgot about it till a month later and called them again.i was on the phone with them for 4 hours being switched from one department to another final person I talked to was supposedly a manager and she said that they didn't owe me nothing and that the time had expired.I even asked them if they record these calls in which they say they do so I asked let's go back to the July phone call when I switched back to directv. Of course they couldn't do that.Att are liars.Plus since I had changed back to directv my billing has been screwed up over charging my cell phone bills my Internet and TV services!!!

It's definitely a shady business. Last time I spoke to them I was on the phone for over 4 hours.Of course most of that I was put on hold bouncing from one person to the next.It sure is a coincidence that during these phone calls with them I have several dropped calls when normally I dont.

Has anyone else had a problem with collecting one the AT&T rewards program? I received a $300/ offer for signing up with ATT and now I think they are trying the old bate and switch.

Promised $400 when ordered in October- told by sales that I would receive the cards after 3 months of qualified service.  Never told about a letter, never saw a letter, after 31/2 months I checked on status via chat- rep told me sorry, that they see that the offer letter was returned undeliverable because the address must be wrong (yet the tech showed up with no problem) Anyway she says sorry, and "approves" the $400-  check in 3-5 days to see the reward status.  After 10 days account still says "no Reward" so again a chat- this time first rep tells me it was denied because it's past 120 days now.  (It wasn't when I first chatted)  Anyway get my way to a Supervisor who then says "No problem I'll approve your cards for you"  Waiting to see.... I will definitely go the FTC route and the ICC and will take them to small claims court and win under the State laws "Notice and Knowledge" for Commerce transactions, so unless they want to spend a couple thousand in lawyer fees they had better send those cards... I'll follow up and let everyone know-  Especially if they hold up their end.

A lot of people have. You will not receive the rewards card and when you call you will get passed from person to person with many different stories and many excuses.

Yes it happened to me last year. They offered me $250 visa debit card for switching from uverse back to directv. After me calling several times and them telling me that it's enroute to me through the mail and never receiving it.The final time I spoke with them about the issue I was on the phone for over 4 hours being passed around from one operator to the next, dropped phone calls till finally speaking with a Att Manger saying that they did not owe me anything and they do not have any records of promising me the debit card.I had even asked if t hey could go back to the original conversation I had with them when they offered me the debit card in which I gave them the exact date that the conversation happened since they supposedly record all conversations.Of course they said they were unable to do such a thing.ATT ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!!!

Everything ATT does is a scam.

If you can get rid of them, do it.

I am having this problem now. I signed up for DIRECTV (through at&t) last summer. There was an offer for a $200 rewards card. I read the requirements and it said to keep service for 3 months then the card would be sent. After my 3 months we're up I contacted the rewards department and was told it expired! They claim they sent me a notice in the mail saying I was supposed to go online to redeem my reward within 60 days of activation. I never received any notices from them.
In December, a rep from DIRECTV told me not to worry that they would process my reward. When I called a month later to check on it, they basically called me a liar and said they never called me in December! They also told me they wouldn't help me and I had to deal with AT&T.
When I finally got someone from AT&T on the phone they say it's not their problem now as the reward is expired and I'm a DIRECTV customer it's up to DIRECTV to compensate me.
DIRECTV offered me a $100 credit on my bill - wouldn't offer me the whole thing. Then the phone went silent and no response on their end.
This is ridiculous. All I want is my $200 I was offered to sign up with them.
