Rude customer service reps

I search this entire site looking for some avenue to complain about outright rude and condescending employees. I spent over 2 hours on the phone and my issue is still not resolved. I was hung up on by Eric G[edited for privacy – please do not post personal information], I think he got frustrated that he couldnt help after an hour of trying so he told me to hold on and we was disconnected.. I called back to pay my bill and posed my issue to Ashley S  and I was told by Ashley S  that when she is talking i need to shut up and listen. I couldn't make her understand that what she was suggesting has already been tried several times over the last hour and I needed to connect with some one who could help me. She was very rude and condesending. She needs to be fired!! Because if shes that rude to me shes also rude to others. After being very curt with me she eventually redirected my call where I spent another hour on the phone with a more professional customer service rep who alas could not solve my issue. However he gave it a good try.

The supervisors are not much better  Kayla employee # [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information] was rude, unhelpful and refused to escalate.  Was charged a $5.00 fee to pay my darn bill.  Advised her I was never notified of this charge she insisted i was. Since AT&T took over Direct TV the programming sucks, the fees are ridiculous and all the money they paid will never be recovered as customers will begin leaving in droves. I, myself, have reduced my programming to bare bones minimum and signed up for netflix

The main phone number AT&T customer service reps have gone from bad to worse over the past five years or so, I have especially noticed this past year that the attitude is especially bad, not just curt, but outright rude, abrasive, and obnoxious. With so many similart reports here and around the internet it can't just be a few bad apples either. AT&T needs to clean house and overhaul the entire customer care, and billing departments because most of the time the reps are inept, unable to ever resove issues in a permanent manner, rude, and many times actually add problems to the mix when trying to resolve the original issue.

It's like AT&T want to drive customers away!

@ham3843   Possibly when they merge DTV/Uverse:

During the carrier's analyst day today, AT&T executive John Stankey said that the carrier is moving to "one consistent architecture" that is a "derivative of the DirecTV in-home architecture."

If that occurs, would think they'd keep DTVs CS dept and broom out Uverse's and it's bad reputation. Smiley Surprised
