Sick and tired of At&t games!

I'm beyond fed up with At&t billing! Every month there is some random charge added to my bill for an on demand movie I never watched or ordered! Then when I call to correct the problem I get an offer to upgrade my Internet and lower my bill, but when I receive my bill none of these promised discounts are on there. Then I have to waste my precious time to call you again to correct the problem. This is not a darn joke, and At&t should stop adding random charges on customers' bills hoping they wouldn't notice, and wasting people gosh darn time. I'm in the military, so do you think I want to spend 30-60 mins of my day on the phone talking to ppl who can't even speak fluent English or understand me, explaining, and trying to fix an issue that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place? I would like to use so much bad language in this post, but I must contain my urge! Sick and tired of this monopoly At&t is running on honest hard working ppl! If it wasn't for my kids wanting to watch three lame kids channels I would've canceled At&t a long time ago!! Such a hassle and overcharged service!!

I have had U-verse since 2008 and have NEVER had a PPV movie billed that I didn't watch.  You might want to check with anyone that has access to your receives that can order PPV.  Someone is doing it.

You should set up Parental Controls and block PPV movies unless you have the code.

I not accepting the solution because the only person who operates anything on that tv is myself. My kids cannot access the base box or the remote. At&t adds random stuff on my bill and it's not the first, second or third time.

I have been in touch with Betty Ridgeway form AT&T's Office Of The President. When I changed from directtv to uverse I was promised my bundle price was for two years. Now, AT&T says that my internet and phone will go up after one year. I only contacted the office of the President after contacting all the usual customer service departments. Ms. Ridgeway sent me to kathrine in billing to resolve the issue. Kathrine  supposedly investigated for two or three days then called me. When she called Kathrine started looking in her computer and explaining to me for the tenth time what the slow running AT&T computer was showing. Kathrine me they could do nothing at the present time. I asked for her supervisor. Kathrine told me her supervisor was Amy and that she would tell me the same thing. I asked to speak with Ms. Ridgeway and was told she was not available. Ms. Ridgeway called me back the next day and left me a message that she couldn't do anything until after my first year expired and my bill actually went up. That they might find me a new promotion if one was available.

My point is that I shouldn't  need another promotion. I just want AT&T to honor what they promised me when they convinced me to sign up for Uverse.
Also, The quality and reliability of my  Uverse service has been horrible.

I am currently experiencing a similar problem with AT&T. When they sold me the bundled service, we were told the price would remain the same 'for as long as you have this package'. Almost immediately, I started having problems with billing inconsistencies and I, too, contacted the office of the president, whereupon I received a phone call and was told my rate was just for "one year or six months, depending on [your] package". Apparently they ascribe to the 'just say anything to get the sale' philosophy.

Well, I will say they got one thing right. I will have that same price for as long as I have that package. As soon as I can, I am switching back to my old broadband/cable provider.

Is AT&T the General Motors of the media world?

AT&T is just like all big corporations. When you ask them to honor the sales department's promises they say sorry you were misinformed. They all have multiple avenues and departments full of people that tell you the same thing. They spend millions of dollars on customer service personnel just to keep you on their merry-go-round that never gives you a straight answer and finally state that their computers won't even let them make a change or correct your issue. No one at AT&T has the authority to make good on what they promise you.

I'm sick and tired of their games too!  On MULTIPLE occasions, they have told me one thing and then it doesn't reflect on my bill and I have to call them to adjust it.  This company is completely inept.  I've been a customer for 11 years and really would like to switch to a carrier who is truthful and not deceptive and has unethical business practices, however it saddens me to think that there probably aren't any out there!

I left time warner cable where my bill was 150.00 every month unless, I ordered movies.  I have been with Uverse since April and my bill has been over 200.00 every month!  I get round around in circles like you.  They do have great televison programs, but they are not truthful with thier billing praticies.  [Per Guidelines:  Keep it Relevant and Appropriate]..
