Signed up for the 10.00 auto pay and have a question.....

When I went to log in to my Uverse acct, I had an offer to sign up for auto pay for 10.00. I clicked on the link and signed up.

I should have read the terms prior because now I'm reading where you only qualify for the 10.00 reward if you use a banking acct or debit card for auto pay. I signed up with my usual credit card which is how I always pay this bill. Will I not qualify for the 10.00 reward now since I used the credit card? If not, how do I cancel autopay?

Thanks.

Term of the auto pay:

* Promotion card redemption via AT&T Reward Visa® Prepaid Card (Reward Card). Automatic Payments (AutoPay) Offer effective July 1, 2014‒June 30, 2015. Eligibility: $10 Reward Card to AT&T Mobility, AT&T U-verse, or AT&T Home Phone/Internet residential customers who enroll in AutoPay during offer effective dates for one or more AT&T accounts using a debit card or direct bank account draft. Limit of one $10 Reward Card for enrollment in AutoPay per account per 12-month period. AT&T employees excluded. AutoPay offer redemption details provided to customer by email within 8 weeks of activation of qualified enrollment. Thanks.

Looks like I have to wait for auto pay to activate before I can cancel so I'll wait a couple of days and then cancel. I appreciate your help.

"Your AutoPay enrollment is pending. Please check back in 48 hours if you want to confirm this enrollment."

I had 1 bill that needed to be paid so I went ahead and paid it with my credit card so now there are no bills pending.

Dang, guess with AT&T I really need to actually read the small print and terms before doing anything. I just come out better paying with my cash back credit card than taking the 10.00 deal. Plus paying the bill myself, I can choose when it's paid and if any questions on the bill, I'd rather fix than have it automatically paid anyway.

Thanks again.

Follow these steps for each AT&T service for which you want to discontinue AutoPay:

  1. Select myAT&T at the top of the page. If prompted, log in. Don't have a myAT&T login? Register today!
  2. Select Manage AutoPay.
  3. Select Discontinue AutoPay next to each account (if you have more than one).
  4. Select Submit. Confirmation is automatically sent; no further action is needed.

If there is a pending automatic payment, there will be a link to Cancel this payment. You do not need to cancel your enrollment in AutoPay to stop one payment.
