Terrible and slow service repair

We called last week because we have our internet and tv through AT&T UVerse and we have not had service since last week. We called and a repairman was scheduled to come in Tuesday. He did not show. My husband called Wednesday , 14th and they said it would be Monday! No tv or internet for over a week and my husband is working at home. I just can’t understand. Ruby at AT&T stated she would deduct $30 off our bill for being out of service for over a week. Help me understand why it takes so long for us to be serviced. Come AT&T you are better than this.
