The Communist/Oppressive Regime of AT&T
AT&T asked me to submit a review of my recent service yet they "moderate" the reviews and have conveniently deemed that my submission doesn't "meet their standards". Read my submission and tell me why.....Hmmmm. " absolutely HATE AT&T!!!!! The internet, cable, and voice service are ALWAYS going out. You have to go through hoops to reach a live person for help with ATT. They come out to fix it and a few days later it doesn't work. i absolutely HATE AT&T!!!!!"

Well, that's why we rely on ATT Uverse and Customer Care here to solve all of our problems and avoid all the phone script readers.

I think people who actually suffer through the true oppression of Communist countries like China, North Korea, Cuba and Vietnam would take issue with your use of those phrases to describe a corporation in a country where you live free. *rollseyes*

[Please keep it courteous] I wasn't aware the government mandated services were only through AT&T?
I have exercised an illegal freedom of choice and switched my internet to Cox and (gasp) canceled home phone entirely!
I may be watching my AT&T Uverse TV in Siberia if I'm not careful.
Reset your equipment. Keep calling to let them know when its out. Document outages and if they are considerable in time you can request a credit.

just discovered AT&T has been overbilling me for 10 months to the tune of $700 for Uverse. While they acknowlege that i have overpaid, they are willing to do absolutely nothing to credit the overpayments back to me?!? i'm still stunned that they will make no effort to resolve this so exploring all options [Edited to comply with Guidelines]. Unbelievable.

So you got your issues resolved?
Does that mean that AT&T is no longer a Communist/Oppressive Regime?

When I had UVerse for 5 years I had no issues with the service or with customer service. I find it extremely hard to believe that you could not get your issue resolved with Customer Care or if you just thought you were contacting them. Customer Care is the escalated issues problem solvers.

If the poster had to litteraly call several times, then i'd say his frustration is fully justified. The point that they FINALY fixed it is NOT something to be proud of, in my opinion, just the classic definition of shoddy customer service.
While his origional premise IS dramaticaly overdone for effect, it did get others attention. Thankfully, i've not had any experances with AT&T that required calls into customer service so far, I do hope to have better results when and if I do.
That link for the customer care site is interesting, and made a point to bookmark it in case I DO need it, and plan to pass it on to other forum posters, as needed.
It does sound like many post, just to complain, but my thinking is, their hopes are, if enough folks vocie their concers, it will help to resolve whatever the cause, or at least the speed of the resolution in the future.
AT&T is a big company with great potential, and being customres, we can feel let down when something does not happen as expected. We expect great things, and for the most part, get it.
Most of us are non-technical, and sometimes, all we can say is, its not working, not why or how.
Anywho... my two cents worth. Keep the change.
