Unacceptable - 3 days without service
Is waiting 3 days before a inside tech or an outside line tech can get to your problem too long?
This is Uverse tv and internet service. I've only had the service for about 2 months. Took 4 days and at least 4 different techs for successful installation and now 2 months into it, I have failing service again and have to wait 3 days for them to fix a line problem.
Not to mention the uverse techs and line techs are 2 seperate departments, so getting them to talk to each other and be on the same page at the same time is like pulling teeth.

For line techs its required for a Prem tech to come to the home first and verify no issues there, if there is none then they send a report to have a Line tech sent out, depending on area it will be same day or next day. If the line tech needs to have a line dug up to repair this needs to go through approval process to make sure there is no electrical or water lines in the area that needs to be dug up, once that is approved then the digup crew goes out and once dug up the Line tech can fix the line.
All in all, yes it can take a few days depending on the situation

When my service was first upgarded, I was down for 48 hours because the change order was put through before anyone came on site to check the lines. Since then, I've not actually gotten the promised speeds. I've had three visits from techs totalling over 12 hours of me sitting around waiting for them to fix a problem which they clearly could not since it was a facilities issue. After over two weeks of this, and four phone calls, I'm at the point where AT&T support has acknowledged that it is indeed a facilities issue, but I am still waiting to get the service I ordered over six weeks ago.
Would you think this is grounds to get out of my contract and switch to another ISP?
