Update negates the welcome information!!

I sign up for Uverse TV and Internet and it directs me to a Welcome page. On one of the pages of this welcome center shows that you can use Uverse TV online after account registration even before installation. Well 1hr on the phone with Tech Support, Oh there was an update done that now only allows access to Uverse TV online after installation. Nice way to not update your information you send out to brand new customers effectively lieing to them.
