Uverse as gotten SUPER expensive!

Be careful where you go and read carefully what you are getting if you switch.  I still am on the 2 year deal with U-Verse after leaving Cox Cable.  They had a lot of hidden fees.  I don't see many with U-verse.  I'll have sticker shock like you in 6 months.  From what I see, U-verse gives you a lot of channels with hardly any hidden fees.  

I'd read the forums of the company you are thinking about first.  Even ask questions if you can.

Regardless of where you go, you can expect annual price increases from all of them.

Never looked at your bills?  Only went up on the Feb billing.  If you were on a contract, you're now on the regular prices.  If you think satellite is cheaper, go for it.  DirecTV is now part of ATT, so things will eventually change there too.

Know last spring when I temporarily went from u200 to u300 w/12M Internet, it was $174/mo.
