uverse backbone is overloaded, canceling my service and going back to using the library's WiFi
Okay, I understand the evenings might slow down, but 1 in the afternoon?
And early in the morning? Why is U-verse so darned slow when the traffic leaves town?
If the web server is here in Indianapolis, sure, the pages load quickly, and Google loads quickly, but everything else really doesn't load. I am not exaggerating, the pages don't load.
Bright House is atrocious, also. You can't get past their phone menu unless their system has your phone number on file. And there isn't a "For new service" option on the Bright House phone menu.
I have less trouble using the public library's WiFi with my laptop.
Lowes, Pep Boys, Party City, and other businesses give better page loading times than my U-verse.
I would have canceled by now, but customer service closes at 7 pm.
So it's back to the library, and writing off the $235 installation costs of U-verse. It's just atrocious.

Ummm, once it leaves town as you put it, it's no longer on AT&T's backbone. AT&T is pretty much the last mile. Unlike cable where the more users the slower the speeds, with UVerse, each house has their own dedicated line to the VRad. Download uverserealtime and post screen shots of IP Profile, Error Table, Bitloading. There is a check mark under Configuration to hide personal information for screen shots that will remove your IP address.
And as for $235 for installation, how do you figure that?
