U-verse Channel lineups

I would like to know why U-verse TV doesn't have a 90-channel lineup similar to the DirecTV Choice 90-channel lineup for their streaming platform?  This plan is more in line with what we would want.  We currently have the U-verse 200 package that has too many unwanted channels (and bundle it with our internet and phone service); yet the Family package doesn't contain the channels we usually watch.  We have been U-verse customers for at least 12 years (I think closer to 15).  We are retired and on a limited budget, and just recently tried to renegotiate our bill downward through the Loyalty Department.  We looked into the streaming platform's Choice package but we don't have the equipment to utilize the service without having to pay $120 extra each month for receivers for our three TVs.  With all the profits AT&T is enjoying, why can't that be passed along to their long-time customers, or at least offer a generous senior discount to people over 65?  By the way, does this get to anyone in management?

@PBrendell

Hello.  I do resonate with your post.  A  couple of quick facts.

Att has spun off its TV products to a new company and no longer makes decisions on these products. Uverse TV has not been enhanced in many years and will likely finish its run the way you see it now.

As for DirectvStream, the boxes they offer are optional.  Their best use I think is to provide the end user with the ability to use number keys to choose channels.  You can buy the box for $120 I believe.  If you can retrain yourselves to watch without channel numbers, any supported streaming box can be used with your subscription.

I figured this site was useless, since it doesn't actually get to anyone in management.  What a waste of time.  Looks like we'll need to find another provider.  Regardless of whether ATT&T "spun off" their U-verse business, it's still a part of AT&T since we have to deal with their representatives.  Guess no one really cares about customer service anymore.
