Uverse Down will be back in 1-2 days???

Apparently the Uverse service is down in my area ... and may not be back up for 24-48 hours.

Of course I had to call to check on the outage after attempting to restart the system and fiddling with their online solutions to no avail. Initially, I was told it was unresponsive equipment. After the line test, I was told that this was a planned outage as lines are being upgraded for a stronger signal (thanks!) and I will be credited in either this billing or the next billing cycle.

Gee ... thanks! No phone, internet or TV without warning. I'll live but what the heck ATT?

I was told an email went out to notify customers of this planned outage. The dinosaur on customer service rep stated, "since you have no internet you probably can't access your email." Um, no. I have access to email and back up email accounts and nothing there from ATT at all.

I am so sorry about the downtime with your U-verse services. I will be happy to look into this for you. Usually, our planned outages do not take customers down for that long. I will be sending you a private message to gather more information, so be on the lookout for it.
