Uverse TV does not allow streaming or playback on Bally Sports App

When watching live tv or playback Bally sports app on iPhone or iPad the app states I'm "not entitled to this content". Bally says it's ATT who grants the access and Uverse states it's a third-party app problem. I have U200 and I was able to watch my regional sports team last season but not this season on the app. The tv channel of Bally Sports is perfectly fine it's only on the phone app or the laptop.

Let's get you logged in to your third-party app, @tenkey4me.

 

If you're having issues logging in on the 3rd party website, we highly recommend making sure that you're signing in using your primary User ID , and ensuring that you're account has been fully registered.

 

If both of the above criteria have been met, then you'll want to reach back out to the 3rd party app provider to ensure there isn't any issues on their end with the service.

I have no issue with logging in on the Bally sports app. My issue is not being able to watch anything. Bally Sports tells me it is up to U-verse to authorize what I can view. I’ve watched my home team in the past on Fox Sports Go app with no issues. When Bally came out with their app I watched the team again last year no issue. Now all of a sudden I’m not entitled to watch on the app. I pay for U200 and my region is Bally sports  West.

You're missing the point of U-verse member ID.  Anyone can login to Bally, but entitled access is enforced.  You must use the correct key to unlock the door.

Let's define the error that you are getting, tenkey4me.

 

Our Ace, gr8sho, is correct. When it comes to "Entitlement", the app needs to check the U-Verse Package to make sure that you are still subscribed to correct one. 

 

Now if you are using the AT&T Credentials to log into the app, then it is not a "subscription" error. It is a device error. 

 

What could be going is what is called a "Device Blackout". A sports blackout is defined as, a removal of the event broadcast by the broadcaster. Bally Sports holds the rights to choose if the game is to be streamed or not or what device is "Entitled" to stream the games. 

 

We understand that sports are important. We do have an way that can prevent these things from happening, and this is to be prepared for the up and coming games. 

 

You can do a search for your local teams schedule and that will tell you if they are home or away, but it will also tell you what channel or broadcaster is hosting the game.

I'm using the correct credentials to log in. It is the only account that I have used in the past without any issues. It's the user id that created when I first used to sign up with when I purchased Uverse back in 2008. My user id has not changed. How can I check if my user id changed? Can someone tell me if U200 subscribers are no longer granted access to Bally Sports West, even though I can watch on my tv? Do I need to upgrade?

Please follow these steps: 

  1. Go to att.com
  2. Go to Account>Sign in
  3. Put in the user id( Email address) and password that is on file
  4. Click Sign in
  5. Once signed in, go back to Accounts>Profile
  6. Your user id will be displayed there. 

As for the channel line up, you can locate it by using the U-Verse TV Channel line up. The channels that you are looking for are RSN's or Regional Sports Networks. They are extra channels that do not count against the channels in your package. So they will not be listed anywhere, but the channels are 772/1772 for all of our packages. As long as you are able to view them on your U-Verse TV receiver then you should be able see them on the Bally's app. 

Again, Bally does hold the rights to the broadcasts. If they choose not to stream to a certain device or devices, then they are have that choice.

The U-verse member ID is visible in your profile on att.com.  Atthelp provided a link to check, but the results only return email accounts associated for you with att.  There may be something in there to check.  Short of that you can create a subaccount and use that.  It should give you the full content you’re subscribed too.

None of these suggestions work. yes, the channel is 1772. I've been told by Bally sports that it is up to ATT to grant the access. So when I use a family member id who is a uverse u450 tv subscriber all is good.  This family member lives 10 miles away from me and we are in the same Bally sports west region. So this leads me to believe that ATT Uverse does not have my account set up with the right access. Also, on another note, my sbcglobal.net email account does not receive any emails! There is obviously a problem with ATT and my account. When I call support the person from another country tells me all is good on ATT end.

I am having the same exact problem. Has anyone been able to get this fixed? Bally Sports is saying its ATT's fault and ATT is saying it is Bally Sport's fault... after hours on hours of phone calls I'm getting nowhere. Someone please help!!

Let's get those features working again for you, @MMoreno222!

 

First, let's have you reset your password for your U-Verse account. The reason we ask you do this is it can resync your account to allow access to the content. You can perform these steps to do so:

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile
  2. Scroll to Sign in info.
  3. Select Edit next to Password.
  4. Enter and save your password info.

As previously mentioned, you'll want to make sure that you're signing in with the correct member ID. Here are the steps to find it:

  1. Go to Profile and then Account Users.
  2. If you have more than one account, select the U-verse TV or Internet account.
  3. Below Member ID info, find your Member ID.

If you've confirmed that you're signing in with your correct member ID and are still unable to view content on the app, let us know.

I am signing in with the correct user ID, as I only have one account bundled in with Internet/TV/phone. The issue is with ATT U-verse not allowing access to the content via Bally Sports. As previously mentioned, I am able to see it via cable but not able to have access to the content via web browser or the Bally Sports app. Please help
