Very Disgusted with AT&T Operation
Received a call from DirectTV wanting me back as a customer, promised me they would hook up 5 TV’s with over 225+ channels, NFL Red Zone for one year, Movies channels free for 3 months, added sports package for an extra $8.00 a month plus bundle my high speed internet, home phone for a $128.00 a month for 24 months, That is a great deal when can you come I asked, tomorrow morning they said, so I agreed. The ATT DirectTV technician showed up at 10:00 am, very nice young man. We walked the house and he said you have 5 TV’s and your installation ticket shows 4. I should have known something was wrong at that point but for a one time price of $52.00 we can add the fifth receiver, so I agreed and sighed his smart phone acknowledging the additional receiver. He worked through house and was finished at 1:00 pm. He and I was in my den going over the remote and I asked were is the NFL Red Zone Channel, and he said you don’t have the NFL Red Zone and I replied yes I do, I have over 225+ channels and he said you barely have 100 channels, I said no, I have over 225+ channels, movies channels free for 3 months, a sports package for $8.00 a month and he said no you have none of that, I showed him my notes from the DirectTV sales call the day before and he said he was sorry but all he could do was what was on his installation ticket and he gave me a 800 number to call to get issue resolved. He left me his cell phone number, I told him not to go far because if I can’t work this out with ATT you’ll need to come back and uninstall the DirectTV equipment, he laughed and said “they’ll work it out with you” and he left. So I called ATT and if anyone else has every called ATT customer service you know what you're getting into from the start of that funky bell sound when they answer the phone. Finally getting to speak with someone and explaining my problem which you have to repeat to at least four maybe five customer reps before you get off the phone. But to make long story short, I canceled DirectTV within the first hour of installation and I reinstalled my U-verse system, thinking everything was fine until the next morning at 9:00 am all my TVs went off so I called ATT and they said you don’t U-verse you only have internet and phone, so I had to explain the story for a sixth time and after being transfer three times they turned my account back on, I restarted all my TVs which I whole process took about 4 hours. So everything is working great got all the TVs named and favorite shows put back on all TVs, then last night at 6:50 pm all TVs go out again, I immediately called Technical Service to see what the problem was, they ran a test and everything was good, but they could see that my U-verse account had been closed again and that customer service closed at 7:00 pm and I would have to call back at 8:00 am the next morning. So 8:00 am the following day I called back, at this point I have taken three off at work for ATT, the customer service rep said they would have to come out and change the cards in the receivers and I said Okay, come on out and he said tomorrow afternoon and I said no, today and said Okay between 1 and 5 pm and I said no, this morning and he came back and said the best they could do is between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm today and I said Okay send the tech over. He said I will send you an email and said thank you and have a great day. So I checked myATT and my service appointment is tomorrow not today as promised so I called back and got a very rude customer service rep in Atlanta so he transferred me to service dispatch in my area, I lady said she would call all managers and supervisors in my area, she came back and said no that no one was coming to my house today and the earliest would be tomorrow and she could find no record of today between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. So I thanked her and told her it was not her fault and to have a good day and good bye. We’ll see if they show up and fix the problems that’s going on 4 day all over a lie from an over zealous DirectTV telemarketer. Everything I have is with ATT from TV, internet, home phone, fax line, cell phone and tablets, I’d hate to how they treat a good customer. I was a very successful contractor for 30 years and I learned early on to tell the truth no matter how much it hurt your situation and to “do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it”. This new generation and ATT has a lot to learn.

Welcome to the Community Forums! I regret hearing you canceled DirecTV due to unclear billing expectations and U-verse TV was interrupted. This is definitely not what we like to hear happen. I am more than happy to help with this today!
