Voluntary Suspend Account Between Moves

I sold my home and needed to suspend my services until I moved into my new home 8 weeks later. Apparently, I the Voluntary Suspend status of my account at my old address until Aug 14th. I contacted ATT to schedule install at the new house on Sept 5. The agent told me that I could not do anything with the account until after Aug 14th including install at new address.

I just want to schedule install at the new address for Sept 5 so that there is service when I move in. Is this not possible? Should I cancel the existing account and schedule a new service/account as if I was a new customer? I've been a customer for 15 years.

Some insight is appreciated.

Thank you.

Cancelling now and re ordering will not make you a new customer your not a new customer until 2 years after you cancel. When you suspend service there is a minimum amount of time and a maximum amount of time that cannot be overridden by customer

And... I'm hoping you can still have U-verse TV installed at the new location because you already have the account.  New U-verse TV accounts are not sold at this time, so the new customer route is not open to you for U-verse TV.  It remains to be seen if they'll even install it at a new location for you.
