Where to file complaints and grievances-Uverse
Since I can't get any feedback, assistance, or help through any other source at AT&T; I'm hoping I can get direction here. I have filled a claim through BBB and plan to FCC. However, I would still like to file a formal complaint through AT&T. Is there a link? A site? Is it done through the mailing system? Account # **** After this is resolved I'm pretty sure I will need post traumatic counseling!

How does AT&T get away with raising rates if you have a 2 year contract? I started out with a bill of 112.84 and now up to 199.26. If you have a contract the price should be for the two years. Don't try to cancel your contract they want $400 so you get stuck paying the increases
cause you can't get out of your contract. They are a scam, plus your TV doesn't work if it rains, snows or windy out.

Since you mention "rains, snows" I'm thinking you must have DIRECTV, though you replied to a U-verse TV thread. Most DIRECTV contracts come with a 1 year discount but a 2 year term agreement, so you get a steep discount for 1 year, but then you pay full price for the second one. When comparing services, I always figure out what I'll pay each month for the term of the agreement, add these monthly prices up, and add in any one time charges or rebates then divide by the total number of months in the entire agreement and compare that number between companies. It can be quite enlightening.

I have been thrown into the insanity of stupidity of individuals that don't have a clue about what I have been talking about or need for the last almost 3 weeks along with some people that have tried to help and were apparently over rode. Placed an od on the 22nd to get my phone routed though my internet. Simple have had at&t fo decades and gotten quite a few modems I have installed myself. The 28th got a package, it as a flat mailer with instructions about how to install the modem but no modem. Called up got some joke that basically accused me of lying and thieving saying i got my modem hen I could prove I didn't. Been on the phone fo hours a day since then still no modem. They tied to strong arm me into having someone come out to install which isn't necessary and not once could I get though to someone who could actually help. hee should be no outsourcing for customer service, there should be a number to call to talk to someone that can and will actually help you resolve a problem. I talked to the postmaster and the same had happened to her sister, she finally let the guys come out ho couldn't understand why they were coming out when it was a self install. Instead of bonuses fo forcing people to have a tech out people should be getting dismissed for screwing up orders. This has taken up a lot of my time and energy on something that should have been simple quick and easy. I need to be able to get a competent individual that can fix this now.

I told the postmaster in town to keep a lookout fo any att person in town so I could go down and try to get a modem from them as they don't have uverse anything in any att stores around here in the to closest big towns [1 16 miles away back roads the other 26]

I can't imagine a tech giving you a modem off their truck without a work order but you can give it a shot.
The ATTCares people might be able to get a replacement modem shipped.

I never got the first, the only reason they might is people are kinda fed up with this type of treatment and not being able to get anywhere and thee have been a few complaints and it isn't easy or necessary for them to come out here and they really don't want to if we don't want them to. None of this should be happening

Sorry...I misunderstood. Is this a new install or are you adding phone service to your current internet account? Either way, I believe both of those require a tech. They don't qualify as self-installs.

thee is no new installation, all I am doing is running the phone though the ne modem and have the instructions which are nothing more than unplug old modem and plug in new modem I don't need a tech to do that no as the order set up for one

as I previously stated, now my keyboard is out on the top lette line: I made an order where I just needed the new modem as I have everything else and existing internet line just a new modem which was ordered and never received and tons of phone calls and messages to people who didn't know what they were talking about trying to force me to allow a tech out and people who tried to help but couldn't over ride the stupidity of what someone had added to the order that didn't belong [tech coming out]This should have been straightened out the 28th of last month

I'm going into ton and filing a formal complaint with the local senator against att at this point in time fo allowing malicious individuals to pull spite actions against customers instead of resolving issues that never should have happened in the first place

I have the same problem. they changed my U-verse (to the most expensive) without my consent. Do you know where to file a grievance?
