If you call during "regular business hours", you have a better chance of reaching a call center in the U.S.
I avoid calling nights or weekends. It has been my experience that this is you are most likely to get a call center in another part of the world.

Why? I've had nothing but professional help during the off hours when I have called, usually weekends and late nite.

They do, just luck of the draw. The best is when you get a hindu with a name like "jack or steve". Classic.
To assure the U.S. call center though ask for tier 2 support.

dear at&t employee
I always ask what country they are in when i am finally able to get a hold of someone and can not understand there english, and i should not have to be directed overseas when i call. At&t should offer numbers that go directly to the U.S. call centers or at least hire people that speak good english. You know if At&t had better product and pricing for exsiting customers they would not need all those call centers

I agree!! I have spent 2 days trying to get something done. When I ask to speak to someone in the United States, they tell me they have a number but they aren't allowed to give it to me. We went round and round, and STILL got nowhere. Maybe the president elect should look into AT&T and fine them for having a call center over seas. AND the employees refusing to transfer customers to the USA call center. Very put out with the process!!!!!
