Why is their customer service so BAD?
They have made numerous changes to my account, I DIDNOTauthorize. I call and get the run around, get passed, get put on hold, for hour plus, and no onecan correct the simpliest problem.
I can not get any help or support,
I have talked, chatted with 17 different people and 7 managers and not one of them can correct my account or honor the commitments made by ATT when I signed up.
I am throughly disgusted by the customer service and can't get anyone to fix.

Have never experienced such horrible customer service.
I have been lied too, passed from person to person, hung up on, put on hold (and never answered) by over 16 reps (7 managers). They all feel my frustration but can't and won't do anything to help. They can make promises, but they never follow up to see if it was fixed.
All based on promises from ATT for 99/month internet and U200 Uverse. An ATT installer offered me three free months for U450 and I have been billed wrong ($180/month) plus add fees triggered by ATT trying to fix by making changes to my account (which they want me to pay). They have made numerous unauthorized changes andno one cares to correct the fees. I am now stuck with bills and worn out with the 15 hours on being on hold orlied too. If I could escape this UVERSE nightmare I would. What a deceitful way to dobusiness.
They promised a $200 gift card and never delivered.
I have never in my life seen such sneaky and underhanded ways to manipulate a customer.

So finally after more than two months of back and forth and frustration with several departments and getting all kinds of misinformation and contradictions. Yesterday after over one hour calling different departments, I called the Advanced Technical Support number, an angel with the name of Megan answerd the call and after explaining my situation and walking her through all the orders and fed ex tracking she patiently review all the items on my file and could clearly see the mistake that ATT warehouse had made. She then went above and beyond and called the Billing folks while I was on line and walked them through the process and made sure they understand the issue and filled the form with required fields to get the credit processed for that department.
She and she alone made me changed my mind of leavng my account and go to another carrier after more than 20 years with ATT. Very friendly and knowledgable and willing to listen. I am very grateful for her patiience and smarts in following the issue and getting to the answer as fast as she did.
If it helpos anyone else with similar issue the number to Advanced Technical Support is 1-800-801-1101.
I checked today and the credit was applied already. Thans Megan.
Hope ATT can improve their system and processes to make these types of issues resolve faster.

That phone number seems to be one for AT&T cell phones. Please look to see you're posting in the relevant area.
Also, as this thread is over a year old, it will be closed. Please don't bump old threads.
