30001-008 Error, Channel Not Included In My Subscription

Why am I receiving this error when I have the premier package that does have the channel? I am trying to watch NBATV

Also it sounds like you are trying to use the physical NBATV application. Just download the Directv app and stream that way. Unless, you have a streaming device. What device are you using specifically?

I was trying to watch on DirecTV app, trying to watch Sixers vs Nets

Using iPhone

I was watching for like 20 minutes on the channel and then that error popped up.

That error is a DIRECTV STREAM error, moving this to the stream forum. Either way, you should try reinstalling the application, restarting your device, and seeing if this issue happens on other devices. Also, confirm the status of your programming package online to be sure everything is correct.

I am having the exact same problem on both my ipad and iphone.  I have the premier package and recently at random times I get this error.  Rebooting the devices does not fix anything.  The problem lasts a while then the app starts working again on its own.  When this happens all of my channels are affected, not just a few.  The iOS on both devices are up to date as is the Directv app.  My wifi and internet connectivity is solid.  I have no other issues with either device or any other app.  This is obviously a Directv issue and they need to fix it.

I have tried deleting the app and re-installing it, but the issue remained.

I have the same issue occurring.  I've called technical support numerous times about this issue, and DIRECTV hasn't fixed it yet.  Frustrated because I pay a lot of money monthly for this package/service, and no resolution.  Just like many of you, I've performed all the troubleshooting steps, and still, the application says gives me the error message "3001-008.  Keeps telling me to upgrade my current package, when DIRECTV has confirmed I have the latest package. Ridiculous!

@mcknightjc Are you a subscriber to DirecTV satellite or DirecTV Stream, the internet streaming service? What device are you using?

You need the satellite forum. This forum is for the internet streaming service DirecTV Stream. Total different subscription service then the satellite.

Guys, I am still having this error come up on DIRECTV streaming  on only 1 of my 2 tvs, both use the latest version of fire tv.  Error code 30001-0008.  Tried uninstalling app an re-.loading app, clearing cache, nothing working.  Texted support, they are worthless and slow as (Edited per community guidelines).  What is the fix here???

I have this issue now on 3 of my Fire Stick devices and nothing works.  I've tried clearing cache, deleting/re-installing the app, and even resetting my Fire Stick to factory settings and installing everything from scratch.  Please advise.  Fire Stick is one of the few devices that supports the DirecTV streaming app.  I'd prefer to just change my streaming provider than order new devices.
