Ads

I think it is absolutely insane and I'm sure I speak for every customer that we pay as much as we do for this service and yet they keep putting ads in their apps. Now I get when I go into the app, there is an ad instead of playing the last channel that I was on. It was bad enough there were ads when I pause playback. They will keep pushing this crap because what we give them for service is not enough money. How about you take care of your customers and not the advertisers.

Advertising has always been a necessary evil of broadcast and cable TV. Not sure what ads you're referring to in the apps, or what app you're using. I haven't noticed it to be a problem on my Roku, iOS devices, or the DirecTV Stream box. And by recording shows it's easy to skip their ads.
