App does not start

I have a Roku 3920X Roku Premiere with the Direct Stream app installed.  Sometimes (2-5 times a week) when I start the app from the Home screen, the app begins loading and then attempts to connect to the last channel watched.  But then it just sits there for about 5 minutes and doesn't start the channel (displays the channel screen with the horizontal busy bar).  I have to go back to Roku Home, select the DirectStream app, and then select the Options item Restart App.  Once this is done I then can start the Direct TV app and my last channel starts.  Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Hi there. DIRECTV is here to help you with your Roku device. Let's try troubleshooting the DIRECTV STREAM app. Please try these helpful tips: 

1. Make sure your mobile device is fully charged and connected to the internet.

2. Check your app store for updates to your DIRECTV and Roku apps.

3. Delete the DIRECTV App from your mobile device and download it again.

4. Check for software updates for your mobile device.

5. Restart your mobile device.

I don't believe the response to my question is relevant.  I am using a Roku 3920X Roku Premiere connected to my television.  Sounds as if this response is an automated response.

I am having the same problem on multiple TCL TV w/Roku built in.  Start the app and it attempts to load the last channel played and never loads.  Having the problem for the last several days.


NEED HELP?
