Apple TV scrolling in guide double-scrolls

The Direct Stream app double-scrolls thru the guide or any of the menus.  It doesn’t go to the next up or down selection, it instead goes to 2 positions up or 2 positions down from current position.  Same with going forward or backward on the guide in time, it will skip 2 positions left or right.

None of the other AppleTV apps (Netflix, AppleTV+, etc) exhibit this problem.

Using a Logitech Harmony remote

Latest version of tvOS 15.0

DirectTVstream Build 35605 version 4.0.23

In order to correct the guide double-scrolls, let's try the following troubleshooting step:

1. Make sure you're using the latest version of DIRECTV STREAM.
2. Try to uninstall and Install the app again.
3. Make sure the Apple TV device has the latest update installed.

See my post, same issue. I used the MyHarmony app on my Windows laptop to reprogram my Harmony Ultimate One remote. 

1. Connect the remote to my laptop and open the MyHarmony app

2. Go to Devices and select AppleTV

3. Select Change Device Settings

4. Select "Device command repeats"

5. Lower setting from 1 to 0

6. Finish and sync remote

This solved 90% of the skipping and advancing. It still occurs but much less frequently.

Yep that fixed it, thanks!  It appears that the directstream app changed the setting on their command input delay buffering on the build.  Only app with this issue.
