Bad audio

We have horrible audio when we are on live or streaming NBC. We haven't noticed it on any other channels. What is the problem?

What do you mean by "on live or streaming NBC"? If you're using DirecTV Stream, you're always streaming.

You are right. I meant if we are watching "live" or go back to a recorded show.

Also, where are you located (zip)... might be as well a problem on that specific feed from NBC

OK. If it's only happening on that one station, then it's most likely an issue with their signal. What streaming device are you using?  What NBC station?

We didn't notice it at all on Hulu TV (NBC)  but we wanted Bally sports (MN Twins) so we switched.

And we are on a Samsung Smart TV.  Three years old?

Hulu TV's NBC programming is not coming from your local NBC station. The issue is most likely with your local NBC station's signal. 

What streaming device are you using? 

Is this happening with all of your streaming devices?

The DirecTV Stream App on Samsung TV has lots of issues. Although that's probably not why your NBC station's audio is messed up. Can you verify that the same problem exists if you use DirecTV Stream on a different device, like your smartphone or tablet?

Is this issue happening in a different supported device?

Let's try these steps to fix most sound issues. Test your audio after each one:

1- Close and restart the DIRECTV STREAM app.
2- Install any available app updates and restart your device.
3- Uninstall and reinstall the app.
