Thanks for the reply. I know how to record shows. But what I'm trying to do is record something that is not listed in the guide yet. I know the show will appear one day in the future. I thought if I Bookmark it, whenever it comes back to DTV it will record automatically. Isn't that what Bookmark is for, to record a show in the future whenever it comes back on TV?
No. The bookmark option is not for recordings, but for On Demand content. There are some cases when On Demand also has airings coming up or you already have recorded it, so it will show there.
The bookmarks feature allows you to save content for later viewing. You can record the bookmarked that is currently available. If you have any other inquiries, we are always here to help you at DIRECTV. Haendel, DIRECTV Community Specialist
Ok. So bookmarking is not helping me do what I need. As I said, I thought I could bookmark something and whenever it plays, I will have the recording. But you are saying no to this. Is there a way I can set it up where a movie or series I want to watch will automatically record when it comes on, even if its not yet listed in the guide? I had this function when I had Uverse. All my shows would record automatically once I set them up. I could even put the name of a movie in the que, not knowing when it comes on TV and if and when it did, it would record. Does DTV have anything like this?
We have the option to schedule records and the option for shows to record new episodes. Please check all the information here https://www.directv.com/support/article/000069768 Haendel, DIRECTV Community Specialist
I went to this URL that you sent me....https://www.directv.com/support/article/000069768.
Under "Titles Airing Later" and not listed in the guide, how do I record those. For instance, if I know something is coming on TV, but dont know when or what channel, how do I record those? Remember, I do not use DTVs remote. Im using a Roku.
Hello Bochano. On the article that was sent to you, there was an instruction there on how you can record a show using your Roku TV and if you want to record an upcoming show.
