Can't Fast Forward at times

Does this occur on specific channels or all? It could be due to a poor internet connection or slow Apple TV device. I’m pretty sure it’s equipment specific so none of us would be able to see it. 

Seems to happen on live MSNBC now on then.   And we saw it happen on a recorded episode of Frasier last night (got a message that FF was not available).   Internet is rock solid (1 Gbit). And the box is the latest and greatest Apple TV.

Humm...   I'm not seeing a chat icon or a DIRECTV Message Inbox.   Might it be somewhere else?

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the DirecTV Stream App?

I just did that.   I hope it helps.

How much space u have left on your apple tv? Do u have the ability to clear cache etc on your apple tv? Might be an issue with lack of resources. Maybe try deleting an app or 2 just to see if the issue persists. Just to see if that is the problem

I’m having this FF problem specifically when live TV is recorded in the “auto extend” portion of the recording. You can’t fast forward into the “extended” recording and once you just watch the extended section for a while, and then FF, it jumps back to like 10 minutes before the auto extension started! Really annoying for sports.
