Can’t watch HBO Max
I’m trying to watch Max on the Gemini box. There was a full screen ad about two weeks ago and I think even an email indicating that it’s necessary to sign in with the TV provider. Despite this, I’ve been able to watch Max without doing this until now.
i signed in with DIRECTV then got a prompt to creates an hbo account. I tired calling tech support about this and it would seem that they are completely unaware of this change.
Their answer is that “we’ll have this sorted out in 1-2 days. That doesn’t help when I want to watch HBO Max TONIGHT.

Still using DirecTV Stream as my provider and it works. Not changing till it prompts me. Have you tried going back to DirecTV Stream as your provider? May be related to the Gemini device and it's app.

What my confusion was is the full screen ad on the Gemini box maybe two weeks ago announcing the change and there was also an email. What i wasn't understanding was the subsequent prompt to create an hbo account; that was the missing detail from support. I'm certain I saw a post here recently about the potential to get double billed.
Going to Max on the Gemini box, directv stream isn't listed. I've been using the max app since this change was announced without any issue until tonight.

What is the known issue? It does not seem to impact all subscribers. Is it device related or account related. At least share some information to the subscriber base.
