You can manage the closed captioning for DIRECTV STREAM by following these steps:
- Press Home on the DIRECTV STREAM remote.
- Go to Settings and then Preferences.
- Choose Accessibility.
- Select Captioning and then Display to turn on or off.

I already answered this question for you on reddit. Click the "ok" button on the dtv stream remote---under the progress bar u will see "cc/audio"
