Cloud DVR chooses the wrong broadcast
Game two of the Men's College World Series is broadcast on ABC, with a secondary broadcast on ESPN-U called "UmpCast." While the ABC broadcast is normal, the UmpCast takes its stream from a camera worn by the home plate umpire.
Cloud DVR makes a choice when a desired program is streamed by more than one channel. In this case, it chose UmpCast over the normal ABC broadcast. I think this is the wrong choice. There are lots of "alternative" broadcasts of live sports events these days, and it seems to me that the consumer should be able to choose the one they want. In the absence of consumer choice, the Cloud DVR choice algorithm should choose the normal, primary broadcast.

The recording is based on the title (name) not the channel. If you want a particular recording, you need to go to the guide and manually select the broadcast to record.

My issue relates to a Series Recording. Manually selecting the recording on ABC does not work, I simply get a second copy of the UmpCast. Your comment is not helpful and Cloud DVR's stream selection algorithm is 100% broken.

My problem is that I can’t seem to choose a specific channel’s broadcast. EVERY.SINGLE. TIME my Houston Astros play their in-state rival, the Texas Rangers, the Rangers’ broadcast is recorded instead of the Astros. I’ve tried to set the recording manually on the day of the game from the guide but it doesn’t give me any different options than team record. Bubbadude’s analysis is correct.
