Cloud DVR Lacks Important Features

Regarding the first point. You can check the list of the upcoming recordings, if you are using a DIRECTV STREAM remote:
press the LIST button and there you will be able to check the recorded and the upcoming recordings list.

You can also go to DIRECTV STREAM and select My Library, then choose a title from your list to watch. Or, select Upcoming Recordings to see what’s scheduled to record.

Regarding the second point. When you schedule a program to be recorded, our system has all the info about when the show starts and when it ends, it automatically sets the start time and end time based on the information we have available from each channel.

I already knew that Upcoming Recordings can be viewed to see what is scheduled to record.  But this does not address my complaint that it is impossible to review and manage a list of shows that are set up for series recording.  There is no way to know from the Upcoming Recordings list which of the shows are set up as a series recording and which are set up as single show recording.  And furthermore, if a series recording is set up for a show that only runs seasonally, then it might not appear on the Upcoming Recordings list for several months.  It is impossible to manage (ie. delete) a series recording that may not appear on the Upcoming Recordings list for several months, and it is also not possible to verify that a series recording is in place for a particular show.

In regard to extending recording times, no one in their right mind should "trust" that the DirecTV DVR is so infallible that it will always extend as needed to capture the entire show.  I seriously doubt that it can be relied up to consistently achieve that outcome.  It's not difficult to add this feature, so why not just add it?

I have had Google TV for several years, but they are discontinuing their service.  So that is why I am switching to DirecTV Stream.  I think DirecTV Stream is brilliant in may ways, so I really like it.  But the lack of important features with the DVR is a major flaw.  These features are available from other TV providers, and they were available with Google TV.  The features are not difficult to implement, so I don't understand why DirecTV doesn't just go ahead and do it?

I understand that you have no ability to add these features, but in my opinion the correct answer would have been:  "These are good suggestions, and I will pass them along to the development team."

I "bookmark series" every series I have set to record so there is a list of them under "my library" 

As for the extended recordings --I saw a new commercial from Dtv Stream that says sports recordings are automatically extended. From my personal experience in the last couple of weeks that is true. Not sure about non sports. They also changed their website to included that about sports recordings being extended.

I'd like to add team DVR. I don't want every NHL hockey game, I just want the Bruins. (on DirecTV stream this doesn't seem to be possible to only get Bruins games)

Unfortunately I have to search my team then just manually record every game coming up for the next couple of weeks.
