Cloud DVR recordings
I recorded a movie on my DVR cloud from stars when I had the promotional package. Now that I no longer have stars and I tried to watch the movie that I recorded it says I have to have subscription to watch it. This seems strange to me because with other DVRs when it’s recorded you can watch it even if you no longer subscribe to the channel. Is this the difference between a cloud DVR and a regular DVR? Or is there something I have to do to be able to watch it. Thank you

You’ve just discovered that DIRECTV STREAM isn’t like other traditional providers like DIRECTV. Even if you recorded the movie on STARZ when you had the channel, the service is smart enough to know that you are no longer subscribed to the channel so it denies you access.

That stinks! My daughter is a marvel enthusiast. So she watched all the Spider-Man movie a million times. I guess she will not be able to watch them again. Thank you
