Cloud DVR

I used to be able to record shows on Directv but now I cannot. I think you have to pay an extra $10 a month now to be able to record shows. Do you know where I can go to pay for the extra service?

Login to your account. Under subscriptions. Also verify your subscription. Unless you are an old subscriber, you should have unlimited. Your subscription will state what limits you have.

Even if you are an old subscriber, you should have DVR capability, albeit only for a small number of recorded hours.

Thanks, I checked and there seems to be a recording problem. I received this error message. I tried to reboot but nothing is working. Not sure how to fix this.

It says “There’s a recording problem. Unfortunately, we couldn’t set the recording you requested. You can try again, or choose another program.” 

This message appears no matter what show I try to record.

That can happen when you try to record from a station but you're not at your home location. Are you at your home location?  What streaming device(s)?

Yes, I am at my home location. Currently using Roku.

It does the same thing. When I logged into AT&T it said that my upcoming bill will include an extra $10 for cloud dvr. Roku never charged me. I think that’s the issue.

AT&T? DirecTV and AT&T have been 2 separate companies for over a year. AT&T has nothing to do with your service. You should be logging into the DirecTV account.
