Commercial Break in Progress

Does anyone else get a screen that says

Commercial Break in Progress Programming will be back soon…with some music - when a commercial seems to be playing? Happens on all channels - random times.

Yes, and there are several threads on this topic. It happens when channels have open commercial ad spots they didn't / couldn't sell to local businesses.

Happens on all streaming services. I've tried YTTV in the past saw it there too.

I get them, and they are too frequent and VERY annoying! I can NOT stand the piano "music" that they play when these things come on.

Whoever came up these breaks should be sentenced to sit in a locked room and be forced to listen to the music for about  week!

Has anyone noticed that the breaks are taking longer and longer in time?  I have TV on all day long in background and I have noticed that this break thing has been happening way more frequently and lasting much longer in the past couple of weeks.  Sometimes it's a couple minutes at least and sometimes longer.  I feel like I must be missing the show because of the amount of time it takes to come back.

You aren't missing anything. This has been discussed ad nauseam. Those commercial breaks in progress are just there b/c ad space was not sold on those networks for local ads. When you see it taking longer that just means that is there in place of more than 1 commercial. This happens on YTTV also.

Between the commercial break (Edited per community guidelines) and the number of times the screen freezes with the message "Your video is still loading" while watching network TV or everything crashes and the message "We are aware of the problem" pops up until I restart the system; and after talking to half of India to try and get an answer to the problem with this useless garbage, I'M going back to cable as soon as my contract is up with these monopolizing crooks!

Also, there is no contract with Dtv stream.

@Ludwick577 there is an option to have a contract with DIRECTV stream depending on how you buy it (e.g. from a sales rep in an AT&T store).
