Constant Streaming Issues... may face the situation & go back to Comcast

For the last two months we have experienced constant buffering issues with our network programming & our apps. In addition, we keep getting network connection lost when all other devices (i.e.: phones, other TV's (Fire Cubes), iPads & laptops all work. We have Comcast Internet with 1GB and multiple range extenders. I only have issues when utilizing the DirecTV Stream boxes which we are forced to buy. I am likely going back to Comcast next month as these outages & constant buffering issues are agonizing. I have a wife who is partially disabled, and TV is about her one form of entertainment. In all fairness we do have 7 TV's but never have more than two in operation at the same time.

I was hoping for credit for the last month but even customer service is a hassle. Chat takes forever and calling is not great. I had one box replaced due to "Green Light" issue. The new box is doing the same.

Thanks

When you are having this issue have you tried streaming your Directv Stream from your fire cube to see if you have the same issues while streaming from that? Plus how were you forced to buy the boxes you can stream from any external streaming device such as Amazon Fire Stick/Cube, Roku, laptops, tablets, phones, etc... You do not need the Directv Streaming Box to stream your Directv stream service. I would also try doing a wifi speed test with a cell phone or something connected to your wifi.  Because it sounds like to me that even though you have rage extenders that your wifi may be experiencing a loss of signal or your wifi is running slow giving you the buffering issues.  I would if you can try connecting your box directly to an ethernet cable to one of your boxes to see if that clears up your buffering issue. Because I have 5 streaming boxes and a bunch of Rokus and a Fire Stick and tablets and I have no problems with streaming through wifi. I don't even use extenders and I don't have any issues with streaming and my speed is much slower than yours and I don't have problems with buffering but you have to have a really good wifi signal to make them all work.

Come to think of it, I have not noticed the issue when utilizing the DirecTV app through our Fire Cubes.

Again, if I order another three cubes to replace the funky DirecTV boxes, then I'm out the price paid fot the three DirecTV boxes I purchased when purchasing DirecTV. Also, how does that affect DVR?I assume I need at least one box for the DVR service. Or, since DVR service is likely cloud based woud it work through the Fire Cube (& the two Roku's)? Thanks.

You do not need any of your Directv Streaming Boxes to access your DVR recordings since they are all cloud-based you can access them from any device you can stream Directv Streaming on.  And if you have paid for your boxes in full then you could always sell them to recoup some of your money paid for them.  But you cannot sell them if you still owe money on them as Directv has a way to make them unusable until they are paid for.
