What do you mean by "TV keeps shutting off"? How often? What's happening when the TV shuts off? Is the DirecTV Stream box the only thing connected to the TV? Can you try using the DirecTV Stream box on a different TV to see if it's the box or the TV?

It’s in my grown daughter’s bedroom and she says she sometimes has to reset the box 5 or 6 times a day. When she reboots the box It has to go through the set up process again so to me it sounds like the box not the TV But I wanted to see if anybody else had experienced that problem before I actually call DIRECTV. I will try connecting the box to another TV. Thank you for your input.

Ask her when she "reboots" if she is doing it from the settings menu or hitting the red button on the side. Bc hitting the red button is a reset and that's why she has to go thru the setup again.

We tried the box on another TV and the box worked, so it is the TV. It’s pretty old so we will be getting a new one. Also thanks for the tip on how to reset the TV.

I discovered that I had the remote set to off so the DVR would keep shutting off after I rebooted it. Once I turned the remote, all was fine.

I have 3 Direct TV streaming boxes that are randomly rebooting. All 3 are in use then they reboot at the same time. Is ATT/DirecTV pushing updates?
all 3 tv's are relatively new and no issues aside from the DirecTV boxes rebooting on their own.

They do updates around 1-2am. Maybe once or twice a month. What time do they reboot? U said all 3 do at the exact same time? Every day?

Yes for the past 3 days. They have rebooted throughout the day. At least 4-5 times if not more and it’s weird that they all reboot at the same time. Did they push out a bad update?

I just changed Direct TV service to 1 tv Satellite and the other tv’s are streaming Direct TV. The TV that is Satellite is turning off by itself now. I’ve checked everything. CEC is off, not timer’s are set, unplugged the TV and held the power button for 10 seconds. This all occurred when Direct TV came out to make these changes to my service.

@dtorelli I would ask your question in the satellite forum then here in the DirecTV Stream forum. This forum has nothing to do with the satellite service. DirecTV Stream and DirecTV satellite are 2 different paid subscription services.
