Delete series
I set a series to record before the new season starts. Now it is recording tons of old episodes and I want to cancel the series. Canceling one of the recorded episodes does not cancel the series. How can I cancel the series? Help! This is driving me crazy. :-)

Hello there! Deleting the series should not be a problem, but we are here to help you. Please follow the next steps to delete all recordings in a series:
1. Highlight the recorded program tile, displaying the number of episodes recorded.
2. Press the right arrow, to highlight the Trash Can, then press OK.
3. A message displays. This program is now deleted. Press Select to undo. If you change your mind and do not want to cancel the recordings, press OK to undo the cancel request.
If you need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be more than glad to help you. Thank you for choosing DIRECTV. 😀 Jhonny, DIRECTV Community Specialist

This deletes only the program, not the series. How do I delete the whole series?

When you go to "My Library on the App, by selecting the title it should delete the whole series. You can do the same from your online account. We'll send you a PM to assist you better. Jairo, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Select the series in the DVR recordings list, then click on the series header, or use search to find the series. Either should bring up the series “info” page, and it should an include a “cancel recording” button.

Hi @hollyhansen, we want you to enjoy the best of the DVR function. You can go to Menu>Recordings>Manage Recordings and find a list that shows the number of Series Manager Recordings that are listed. To provide you with the most accurate information. Could you confirm your receiver model? Luna, DIRECTV Community Specialist.

There isn’t a “Menu” area on the DirecTv Stream App.

Receiver model? Not sure what you mean. I use DirectTV Stream on my smart televisions and firesticks.

@DIRECTVhelp It would really help if you reps learned the difference between the satellite service and Stream. Despite what DirecTV tries to claim on their website these days, they aren’t the same, don’t have the same features, don’t have the same interface, etc. And you reps are constantly giving useless satellite info to customers who don’t have satellite - either because you don’t know any better or because you don’t care.
And just stop with taking technical issues private. There is absolutely nothing account related in this question, and there are multiple users asking the same thing. So interact in the thread so others can benefit. It looks to outsiders like you are embarrassed to admit publicly that you don’t know anything about the service you are supposed to be supporting and want to hide that fact. If you can help, help here. If you can’t help, then just stop getting involved.
