Direct tv stream recording the blacked out basketball channel instead of the regional channel

Same here - Lakers vs. Trailblazers today - it recorded a blacked out channel instead of the local channel. There is no option to record as a series on the local channel (it only lets you choose the teams to record). I think the only option now is to set each game to record individually. I contacted support and they were unable to restore the recording for me or give me an explanation.

@jo20221023, I'm here for that same reason! For the Trail Blazers game against the Suns, I could watch it in real time on Root TV regional sports, but it would not let me start from the beginning--it turns out because it was never recording. I could watch the NBA (Suns) broadcast after, but with this Lakers game I have neither recording after! It appeared that the Lakers broadcast was recording. I wanted TNT and TBS, but I don't want to have to remember to record 79 Blazer games this year so if DirectTV does not have a solution I guess I'm left with Fubo. An incredibly poor user experience.

It recorded the correct regional sports channel (Spectrum Sportsnet) for my next game (Lakers-Nuggets game on 10/26), so hopefully they've fixed whatever it was. I had cancelled and rebooked the 'team recording', so I don't know if that made a difference.

But I had issues last season with DirecTV Stream recording the wrong feeds for several Laker games, so I don't trust it.

have settings set to record all broadcast NBA games, so I could watch my Thunder. sometimes the Thunder games don't record and almost as annoying they record with TruTV which is the most annoying way to watch a game. Who the (Edited per community guidelines) wants to hear commentary all over a game. it let me start recording manually on TNT. Direct Tv has so many issues I like the old way of cable. it really worked. Direct failures.
