Yes, you can pause and rewind Live TV. You can't FF live TV because that would move you into the future. And you can only rewind for as far back as you viewing the show. And, yes, you can record. Realize, however, that the native DirecTV Stream on TVs is not as good as a stand-alone stream device, like Roku, FireTV, or DirecTV Stream device.

Hi, @Jmoods. That's a good question. Yes! DIRECTV has a Pause Live TV feature where you can stop, rewind or fast-forward through commercials or to a future point for 60 minutes. If paused for more than 60 minutes, and when you change channels, the progress bar is discarded, and pressing play returns to live programming. Recording for both Firestick and the App is also possible.
