Direct tv Streaming Gemini Device Blacking out
Having this error where my streaming device randomly blacks out for a couple of seconds, then goes right back to normal. i have tried to restart/ factory reset device but still having the same error. I have tested my internet as well the wifi is great and light is green. I have a Playstation right next to it and. i can stream and do everything normally with no interruptions. This issue even occurs when i try to stream other apps(HBO, HULU, NETFLIX) on the gemini streaming device. Has anyone ran into this? Any solutions?

We are also seeing the same “blank out” issue, it’s usually when watching a DVR’d video. If you backup and rewatch the same video that blanked out, it doesn’t reoccur. Probably happens randomly once per hour.

Same issue. Any updates on this problem? It happens more and more frequently.

This sounds like an HDMI handshake issue. You could try using a different HDMI cable with the Gemini receiver or switching the HDMI port (i.e. plugging the HDMI cable into HDMI2 instead of HDMI1). Moreover, check the resolution settings on the Gemini receiver to ensure they are compatible with your TV.

I have the same issue. Unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in usually rectifies it for awhile. I have tried multiple cables, including the one the Gemini instructions insist I *must* use.
