Directtv stream not recording entire episodes .

I have the formula 1 racing series set to automatic series recording and have recently noticed that part of the recording has not been recorded. I had watched it live one day and realized that the entire race episode is suppose to be 2 hr 30 minutes but only 2hr 6 minutes is being recorded. I have noticed that for all race recordings not just one recording.

OK, so did the race go over the expected time? Recordings are automatic based on guide times. There are no manual extensions. If you expect the event to exceed the time limit, then it is best to record the next time slot also. Just be aware that all sporting events are automatically extended.

Recording info is located here

Note: Sports recordings are automatically extended where content continues to stream beyond the programmer’s scheduled time. Applies to the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), and Soccer (UEFA, FIFA). Extended sports recordings contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region. Blackout restrictions apply. Data connection required. Recordings expire after 9 months. In a series recording, max 30 episodes stored with unlimited hours of cloud DVR and max 10 episodes stored with 20 hours of cloud DVR (oldest deleted first which may be in less than 9 months). Restrictions apply.

On a related note I recorded an F1 race and got college baseball, then a Cornhole Tournament (don’t laugh).

Yesterday I tried to record the Grand Prix of Monterey and I got a rain delayed NASCAR race…

With the F1 Race when I fast-forward, the banner on the screen listed “Monaco Grand Prix” but college baseball was on the screen….

Really frustrating.

Can happen when the guide listing is wrong or not updated correctly.
