Directv app
When will the Directv app let you download shows from your DVR so you can watch them offline? The app used to let you do this. I once saw a comment that functionality might come back in July or August, but it’s now October.

DirecTV Stream (the service) has never offered off-line viewing. Satellite service, I have no idea. All DVR for the service is cloud storage.

Sure. It's stored in the cloud. Just load the app and watch the content. They may be some restrictions with local channel content if you are out of your home base.

Yes - the DVR content is accessible anywhere using the DirecTV app on any supported device.
It is unlikely they will ever offer offline/download capabilities since I’m sure that would violate their contracts with the content providers (networks).

You probably won't be able to access DirecTV Stream outside of the USA. But give it a try.

@doo4usc44 OK, almost anywhere. They are only licensed for the content in the US, so they block access from outside. Using a VPN service to get around that is not allowed, but if you have one, you might get away with it.
And generally if you are just changing the package you subscribe to, it doesn’t affect the rest of your service. But you’re best off checking with Customer Service - no one out here could say definitively. (I don’t even completely trust Customer Service’s answers - if I “talk” to then, it’s generally by chat so I can keep a transcript just in case.)
