DirecTV Stream - App unable to access DVR cloud from Roku and/or Samsung
Hello - Any one else having issues with accessing the DVR Cloud with JUST Roku and Samsung TV’s? FYI, our Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV Stick are NOT having any trouble.
Background… Just started up with DirecTV Stream. All seemed great (too good to be true?) for the first 3-4 days. Then, on day 5 (just enough time to have some recordings saved to our Library), we accessed DirecTV Stream on our Roku device, went to the “My Library” section, selected one of our recordings (which are all visible and continue to record as scheduled), and upon attempting to access it, we get the following message…
”Opps, something went wrong. Looks like something went wrong. Please contact Customer Care.” There is a number displayed in the lower right corner of the screen (40006-003), but it is not in any way identified as an error code.
I did a little troubleshooting of my own to start, as we have several options for accessing the DirecTV Stream App - Roku, Apple TV box, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and directly via Samsung television. Both Roku and Samsung TV produce the error. The Apple TV box (1st Gen Apple TV 4K (2017)) and the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (latest version) have no trouble.
Contacted customer service… the rep, of course, ran their “checklist”, most of which I had already accomplished (reboot the device, delete the app and reload, etc.), she forwarded the issue to her “back end tech support” division. We both waited about 15 minutes (she had to wait in a queue for help :-\ ) only to be told that I should get a DirecTV device (oh, and pay $$ for it) to avoid the problem. I requested that this issue be “elevated”, only to be told there is no option to accomplish that. We left the conversation with “We are reconsidering our choice of DirecTV Stream as our streaming provider… will let you know our decision.”
About 48 hours later, the problem resolved, but alas, it began again in another couple of days.
Another tidbit - IF we had already begun to watch a recorded item, that same item COULD be accessed via the “Continue Watching” section under Watch Now.

Have you tried rebooting your internet modem/router? Also, were you ever a Dtv Satellite customer? If so, you need to use a different email address for each account.
