directv stream does not allow local channels to be watched when traveling for iphone 14

It all depends on whether your streaming device supports "location services". When I travel, my PC and Roku always show the location stations from my primary home location (Seattle). But my iOS devices show the local stations for my actual physical location. I'm guessing you must have traveled to a location where DirecTV Stream doesn't provide that location's local stations.

OK, this is still a little confusing.  The instructions are:

Channel troubleshooting
If your Guide isn’t showing the right channels:

1. Press Home on your remote.
2. Open Settings > General > System Summary.
3. Make sure your ZIP Code is correct.
4. Go to Location > Location Status and toggle OFF.
5. Press the red button on the side of your device to restart it.
6. Toggle your Location Status ON after you restart.

Since this is a iphone 14, what remote are you talking about and by the way, location services are activated on my Iphone.  It I try to turn them off, the app makes me turn them back on

If location services are enabled on your iPhone and you're not getting any local stations, then it's likely that DirecTV doesn't offer that area's local stations. Where are you?

With local services enabled you should be able to stream the locals based on your zip code ....
