DirecTV Stream Gemini 1 device interruptions

Hello,

We use the DirecTV Stream Gemini 1 device to stream shows on our TV. Recently, the interruptions in the streaming identified as a "No internet connection" error have been on the increase. It is sporadic and generally happens in the evening. The interruption is anywhere from a few to 30 seconds. It happens with a Wi-Fi or hardwire connection to our router and we have no internet issues with any of our other devices; a laptop, desktop, and 2 smartphones. I can stream without interruption on my laptop.

I suspect that the problem lies with the Gemini 1 device itself, and that maybe it is too sensitive to minor fluctuations in the stream, identifying them as a dropped signal.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Any suggestions?

Thank you for responding. 

I have performed all of the suggestions in both links you provided. I did a speed test just now and it registered 73Mbps download speed.  We have really fast internet with Xfinity.

Is it possible to get an updated Gemini box? How much would that cost me?

I feel this problem is related to the box because everything else works fine and streaming works on other devices (my laptop and a Roku TV not attached to the Gemini).
