Directv Stream/Roku remote down arrow no longer triggers guide
Pressing DOWN on the roku remote use to bring up the guide. However that stopped working as of this morning. Directv App Build 3750102 Version 3.34.
Now to get to the guide you have to hit the Back button, then select guide (multiple button presses).

This is awful.
the Directv app on my iPad still works the same though. It seems the Roku remote isn’t working the same anymore. CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!

This is ridiculous. The down arrow gave access to all the ways we use the app. Now it is endless “back” arrow pushing??? Definitely regressive. STUPID!

Echoing an earlier comment, my wife is livid. Disabling the most important functionality is idiotic. The disabling of the down button to access the guide is what brought me here (thanks everyone for your input), only to learn that our ability to rapidly switch between multiple channels (college football Saturday) has been disabled, too! I know this is a first world problem, but geez. I hope this is just a bug to be fixed.

Actually, the up button leads to recent channels so you can rapidly switch back and forth among multiple channels (football games😬). But still, c’mon!

This new format is extremely frustrating! Instead of spending all that money on a control group, you should've actually asked the front line subscribers what would work best. This new format is not user friendly, it's annoying and now we can't access the guide, your library, or if you want to get to the guide you have to press back and one more back button and you've clicked out of the app! Direct TV should fix this ridiculous format! I'm all for new updates but change them for the better not the worst. That dude that one the best screen format should be fired. You are already upping the price AGAIN- Use that money to fix your disappointing interface and format. I give you guys a big fat 0. You're going to lose so many customers. Older generations will not he able to navigate through this new format and use it successfully.

May I suggest that the down button go directly to the guide (requested before) and when in the guide the back button take you back to what you were watching.

Can DirecTV just make the Down Arrow bring up the Guide? Like many others, I am here for LIVE TV.
I left the others, because I want to channel surf, not fire-up something OnDemand.

Their user experience developers are (Edited per community guidelines). "I know...let's make them go through multiple clicks to find the guide they use most"! Brilliant

more likely developers were tasked "come up with a way to increase views and traffic on (x) page..... and do it quickly and cheaply"

This type of update has occurred at this time that we are looking into alternitive streaming services to reduce costs.
The change of buttons may be a little issue but with the pain of additional keystrokes starts to make a change of povider an easier way to solve the issue.
