duplicate recordings - first run only shows
I have been recording a daily show for months now, first-run 30 minutes show recorded once a day M-F. Suddenly, last week I started seeing 8 daily recordings of the same show, each day. WHAT HAPPENING?

I appreciate the link you provided to the DirectTV Customer Support page but I tried going there first and couldn't get anywhere to ask this question. I tried the Troubleshooting button but all the options there just want to do automated troubleshooting and this issue isn't covered there. Also tried the Contact Us link but that page never loads. Could you please help me get to where you want me to go?

Apparently it is now.....maybe DirectTV just added ABCNL. I see it takes on KVUE, which is my local ABC station and then it must now be showing back to back on this News Live channel. I was just on a direct chat with a Customer Support person and he thinks they fixed it. Mon, or Tues will tell. Have you had this issue?

I was curious about that and I do have it set for 'new episodes' but on the ABCNL channel, it tapes it 8 times and it's all the same show.

Occasionally, the series recording choice for "new episodes" is hit or miss when a show is on more than one channel. Depends on the program description. If the DVR thinks it's new--on a different channel---then it will record the show.. For example, I have a series recording setup for a show on Fanduel Sports Midwest but that same show airs on one of my local channels as well. My dvr records the same show twice. I think it has to do with the combo of a show being on a local channel plus a national channel. Just to be sure, though, you might try to cancel the series recording then set it up again.

Yes, this is definitely an issue on Directv's end. I have been having this issue ever since my Gemini devices got their last update. I sure hope they fix this bug soon it is very annoying! It seems to be affecting anything that I set that is a new show. I have it set for new episodes and it records the same episode multiple times even when it is not showing as a new episode on the same channel.
