End of shows being cutboff

I will watch a movie or a tv show and at the very end I miss the last 30 seconds of the show.

This is very annoying.  If this can not be fixed I am looking for another streaming channel.  Hulu does not have this problem.  I think Direct TV’s time setting is off. Please check.

You are asking a bunch of customers on a public forum to fix a recording issue none of us have access to.

DIRECTV STREAM could have time setting issues like this but I’ve personally not heard of a 30 second cut-off before. Does this occur on specific movies or TV shows? Or, is it constant, occurring all the time?

You didn't mention what device you are using, but have you tried resetting the device?

We record a lot from different channels and don't have that issue.

If "direcTVs time was off," then every program would be cut off at the end. The time in your DVR comes from the satellite. Which channels and programs show this problem?  Prime time programs have their start time controlled centrally and my guess is these progrms are OK. Programs at other times, particularly the syndicated shows you get from "minor" channels, have the start and end times controlled by the channel and some of them don't really care if the times are slightly wrong. Some of them do it deliberately to give more time for commercials. The local news here in DFW is a good example. It ALWAYS starts early, it should be 6.30 but it starts at 6.29, you can see the clock in the studio.

If you had satellite, direcTV has a feature which deliberately starts recording slightly early and finishes slightly late (if the tuner is available to do this) which means you usually get all the program recorded even if the channel's timekeeping is off.

To detuch254 —-I did find a solution on this forum.  So it has been helpful to me.  Your comment was not helpful.
