Thank you for trying to help me but this was not my question.  I know how to use the remote.  I wanted to know when I go to on demand and pick something to watch it tells you that you can't fast forward or rewind these shows and movies.  Also when you do a search and watch those shows you get the same message about not being able to fast forward or rewind them. Some other companies will let you pay a small fee and then you can fast forward or rewind. Does Direct Stream have that option?

There is no ad free fee based service available. On all OnDemand, content can not be forward or rewind to avoid commercials but DVR content can be fast forward or rewind to bypass commercials.
